ORBIS has been officially recognized by the CMMI Institute that our IT Development and Services projects have been appraised at CMMI Maturity Level 4 for both DEVELOPMENT and SERVICES.
CHARLESTON, S.C. (May 5, 2026) — ORBIS Sibro, Inc. dba ORBIS, a Veteran-owned and leading provider of mission-critical technology, engineering, professional services, logistics, and strategic solutions, today announced that it has been appraised at CMMI Level 4 of ISACA’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for both IT Development and Service Projects.
The appraisal was performed by Andreas Felschow of The Process Company and is published in the CMMI Institute’s Published Appraisal Results System under Appraisal ID 80542. The CMMI Published Appraisal Results System publishes the CMMI level achieved by organizations that have completed Benchmark or Sustainment appraisals and elected to make the results public.
An appraisal at CMMI Level 4 indicates that an organization is performing at a quantitatively managed level. At this level, the organization and projects establish quantitative objectives for quality and process performance and use them as criteria in managing projects. For ORBIS, this reflects a disciplined, data-driven approach to understanding performance variation, predicting outcomes, improving process performance, and delivering high-quality products and services.
“Being appraised at CMMI Level 4 for both Development and Services reflects ORBIS’s commitment to disciplined execution, measurable performance, and continuous improvement across the work we deliver for our customers,” said Charlie Grabenstein, President. “Our teams support complex government, defense, and industry missions where quality, consistency, and accountability matter. This appraisal reinforces the strength of the processes behind that work.”
CMMI is an outcome-based performance model and a globally accepted standard for improving organizational capability and performance. ISACA describes the CMMI appraisal method as the official ISACA-defined method used to evaluate an organization’s processes and provide ratings related to organizational capability and performance.
For ORBIS, the Level 4 appraisal applies to both its development and services capabilities, supporting the company’s continued growth across government services, product solutions, engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, AI/ML, hardware and software integration, and mission-focused technical support. “CMMI gives organizations a framework for measuring and improving the capabilities that drive stronger performance,” said Grabenstein, “For ORBIS, this is not just a rating. It is part of how we continue building reliable, repeatable, and measurable outcomes for the customers and missions we support.”
